can not load localization.txt

hey guys, im having a problem with Call of duty mw 2.

i tried loading cod and it gives me black screen n i can see my cursor so i minimized n it says cod is not responding when i try to bring cod back up to full screen from the task bar its says, "cannot load localization.txt make sure call of duty is running from the correct folder" i tried the verrifing files thing in steam n it always downloads some file about 3.3 in size n then says download complete but i still get the same problem, ive tried reinstalling, rebooting, n nothing works. please help me guys..

p.s idk if this is related but i just recently verified my windows 7 because b4 it wasn't verified n went into that weird "this isnt verified mode" so i verified n then this happened idk if its just by chance or if it has nothing to down with it..

It sounds like to me that this is a Windows 7 issue. But here are a couple of posts on other forums that we have gathered for you to view.

My question is, are you using a cracked version of CoD:MW2 or a legit copy?

Great answer lol .. I think that's the best way to go if you have a legit copy!
